You will complete your myofascial release training online via our award-nominated E-learning platform. Here you will work through interactive modules and quizzes at the end of each section!
On average, this course takes around 12 hours of dedicated study time to complete. However, as this CPD is entirely self-paced you work through it at a pace that’s comfortable for you, with no deadlines to meet.
Before enrolling on this CPD training course, students must hold a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy Qualification or a Level 2 Gym Instructor certification!
This online course will provide you with the information needed to safely integrate techniques for Self-Myofascial Release treatment with your clients. By the end of the course, you will understand the concept of Self-Myofascial Release and the role of fascia within the body, the reasons why it becomes tight and the concept of trigger points.
You will also gain an understanding of what happens during SMR within the tissue fibres.
Furthermore, you will be able to identify suitable equipment to use and know how to perform SMR on various muscles within the body. And finally, you will be able to recognise some of the contraindications that would prevent a person from undertaking SMR.
