Designed by experts in the field, our Level 3 Sports Massage Qualification will teach you how to promote recovery, minimise discomfort and help with muscular tightness. You will also learn how to give post-event and restorative massage, and support your clients with the psychological aspects of pain.
You’ll study using OriGym’s e-learning platform and apply your learning at practical group workshops to ensure that you are fully prepared for your new career.
Modules Include:
- Anatomy and Physiology for Sports Massage: The skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, digestive, urinary, cardiorespiratory and lymphatic systems, plus connective tissue, giving you the knowledge to plan and adapt treatments.
- Principles of Health and Fitness: The effects of exercise, types of fitness, the principles of exercise, fitness and health, and nutrition including national guidelines and macronutrients.
- Soft Tissue Dysfunction, Injury, and Rehabilitation: The principles of soft tissue dysfunction and contraindications to treatment.
- Professional Practice in Sports Massage Treatments: The legal responsibilities and principles of best practice for a sports massage therapist.
- Understand and Provide Different Sports Massage Treatments: Treatment preparation, client goal setting, bony landmark palpation, fundamental massage and muscle energy techniques, and post-treatment care, applied through the mandatory workshops and observed practical assessment.

When you’ve completed all parts of your Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy course and paid in full, we will request your certificate from the awarding body. This usually takes about 3 to 4 weeks to process.
